Well, this post is about four months late...
But it's here.
I hardly picked up a camera the first half of this year. Aside from a couple paid shoots, I was too busy navigating life to think about capturing it in photos. Then our annual Amelia Island trip arrived and offered me a humble gift of inspiration.
Lately, however, I've been more mindful of my stress levels (thank you, Oura ring), and I'm starting to realize how the go-go-go state of mind keeps my heart-rate elevated... which probably keeps the cortisol flowing, and that's a no-no-no. What I love about being behind the camera is how it forces me to slow down and consider the moment, accept the moment, and to appreciate it as art - exactly how it's presented before me. And.that.right.there is a great de-stressor.
