It was a pretty chill October over here.
The month kicked off with a trip to Home Depot for backyard betterment supplies.
We rented a pressure washer and cleaned the front driveway, sidewalk, front porch, and awning. The picture doesn't do it justice, but it looks far better than it did before.
As for the backyard, we pressure-washed the deck and siding, pulled up weeds, picked up all the extra pine straw, pine cones and leaves, washed the chair cushions, put up tiki lights, and whipped out the fire pit.
The grass is patchy (and going dormant for the season), so again, the picture does no justice, but we're definitely off to a good start back here compared to two years ago. All that's really left to do is lay fresh sod, plant some perennials, and fix the wooden divider in the back.
Caught some Friday Night Lights.
Cooler weather means longer afternoon walks.
Picked up some new books and checked out the renovations at Sewell Mill Cultural Center. It's a library, event space, coffee shop, art gallery, and computer lab - all in one!
Lit the first fire of the season

thanks, dear!❤️
DeleteThat cultural center sounds amazing. I wish I had something like that where I am.
ReplyDeleteIt's been open for nearly a year and I've only been a couple times. Shame on me! We need more things like that in our communities.
DeleteSince it's finally starting to get cooler, we spent a lot of October cleaning the yard as well. We still have a loonnngggg way to go, but the cool evening air keeps us optimistic. LOL!
