I had the great privilege of attending a real life tea party at Dr. Bombay's with my team at work, complete with scones, mini sandwiches, and other assorted desserts (all of which are not pictured, because I was too present to snap a bunch of photos).
As far as the teas go, the were delicious. We tried four different types:
- Jasmine Jazz (Green)
- Orange Blossom (White)
- Cinnamon Cardamom (Black)
- Peppermint Chocolate (Rooibos)
All were great, but my favorites were the Cinnamon Cardamom and Peppermint Chocolate.
Used books line the wall of the shop, all of which are available to purchase for $1. They also have an array of other wearable goodies for sale including classic tea party hats.
High tea reservations must be booked in advance on their website and are only available at certain times:
- Tuesday – Friday 3:00pm to 5:30pm
- Saturday – Sunday 11:00am to 5:30pm
Walk-ins are also encouraged if you'd like to sit and work (free Wi-Fi is always a win) while having a few cups of tea and some scones. It's also worth mentioning that the teas are exclusive to Dr. Bombay's and are not available for purchase anywhere else.

ReplyDeleteI've only recently discovered rooibos tea this year and I absolutely LOVE it. I honestly think I drink entirely too much. I've previously read that it's healthy so I guess too much is ok. LOL!
Maybe about seven years ago, I was doing the Daniel fast and couldn't have caffeine. This was at a time in my life when I was having at least two coffees a day from Starbucks. I think I had just gotten my gold card. At the time, the only non-caffeinated option (decaf still has caffeine, so that was out the window) that sounded even remotely good was their Vanilla Rooibos Tea Latte. I must've had one every single day until that fast was over, and I don't think I ever had one again after that. Sbux has since discontinued the Vanilla Rooibos, but it will always have a special place in my heart since it got me through that fast!
DeleteRandom story, I know, but your comment compelled me to share - haha!
I love tea!
ReplyDeleteI'll try this out when I return to ATL in the near future.
