The was a cafe
open only 'til three
just north of the city
named Crooked Tree...
Cute and quaint,
unremarkable from the street,
when you step inside,
friendly faces you'll meet.
the menu is simple,
but each dish is a treat.
flavored and seasoned so perfectly,
oh, the good food you'll eat.
Pancakes and taters and scrambles galore,
you'll be back,
real soon.
you'll definitely want more.

Ok, but seriously. The breakfast I've had at Crooked Tree Cafe the past two weekends in a row was so good it made me literally wax poetic about it. The menu is as simple as it gets, but the pancakes are the fluffiest I've ever tasted, and they don't sit on my tummy for hours on end like pancakes usually do.
Everything else I tried was seasoned to perfection - the kind of meal where you don't even think about grabbing the salt and pepper, or any other condiments, and the decor is downright adorable. Move over Ihop, Waffle House, Cracker Barrel... I've found a new breakfast favorite.

Your pictures are so inviting and I like the poetry at the beginning! Some of my fav. places to shop and eat are local restaurants you can't find anywhere else.
