days five and six
I have absolutely nothing to show for the past couple days, so here's a random snap from the past couple weeks. I'm sure the next time I take a photo of this part of the living room it will look completely different. Hopefully.

What can I say about Monday & Tuesday besides work, eat, sleep, repeat? I've been working on a freelance project in the evenings, and for the first time in a long while, I've had a super hard time meeting my deadline.
We went out for Mexican food last night because I didn't feel like cooking, and it was super unfulfilling. We rarely go out to eat during the week, and now I remember why. Moral of the last two days: stop being lazy and get in your kitchen.
I love this D!!!! Looks beautiful, hope to visit soon!:)))
ReplyDeleteBtw, I was just having a conversation w/a coworker yesterday about that! We rarely ever cook at home now and its sooo hard getting back in the groove of doing it daily. And eating out def adds up!!But now that our stove is no longer falling apart, there are no excuses I suppose :)
And it's the opposite over here. We rarely ever eat out during the week, and only maybe once on the weekends, twice if it's date night week. It's gotten to the point where the place we choose to eat at HAS to be the BOMB, otherwise I'll feel like it was a waste because I could've made something better/tastier at home! There's seriously nothing like a home-cooked meal.
DeleteOh no, unfulfilling? I seen mexican and thought, did she have a bad taco? Disa loves tacos lol.
ReplyDeleteBut cooking at home makes a big difference. I started making breakfast at home and it makes a big difference. Now to think about what I'm having for dinner tonight.
LOL! I made the mistake of getting a veggie option instead of just sticking with my ol' faithful carne asada. Also, the tortillas weren't that great. The margarita I had saved the whole dinner tbh.
DeleteAlso, it's Spaghetti night in La Casa Active Spirit. Quick, easy, and never disappoints!
Xx
Love how your home is coming together! Also, we've been in a cooking at home rut as well. Breakfast and lunch, we're ok. It's cooking dinner that's been tough with me working 9-5 and then as a santa helper from 6-9 everyday. Poor Charles has been trying to cook (he gets an A for effort) but we've ordered delivery for dinner at least 2-3 times a week for the past couples of weeks lol. Can't wait to get back in the kitchen after the holiday season is over.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, If I had a second job, I'd be cooking way less often. Dinner is kinda my sweet spot. I can make a quick, quality dinner with one hand behind my back while watching Youtube videos and sipping on some wine. Breakfast I usually skip, and I can never decide what I want for lunch, but it's usually NOT what I packed. SMH. Definitely want to get better about that in 2017.
