I've had this sitting in my drafts titled as "Art" for a couple weeks now, and it's interesting I couldn't find a better title since I was impressed by the displays at such a small museum.
Located in the Marietta Square (I really like that place), the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art showcases a mix of modern and contemporary art, mostly oil-on-canvas paintings.
What I probably love most about visual art is that it does not always require much commentary (if any at all). The work speaks for itself.
Which means I can stop typing now...

The lady in the red dress is stunning. It looks like a really gorgeous collection.
ReplyDeleteThat one and the last photo were my favorites ;)
DeleteThis looks like an amazing place to be peaceful and let the visuals wash over you. I like it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Beth! It kinda left me wanting more, though. I forsee a trip to the High in my near future...
DeleteI love art & museums and everything of that nature! You must make a trip up to DC when you can. All the Smithsonian Museums are free admission. Sooo much art to look at at absolutely no cost :)

ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of this museum, but after seeing your photographs, I would love to visit. Like the first commenter mentioned, the painting of the woman in the red dress is really striking. I'll bet it's really special in person.
