I had the extreme privilege to visit Books for Africa again this past week.
I first blogged about them three years ago, when J and I volunteered to sort and pack with a group on a random Saturday morning. This time, I went with some ladies from our women's organization at work and was reminded how much I enjoyed my time spent here.
It served as a reminder of how fortunate I am to have access to so many books at virtually any moment. It also inspired me to pick up a book more often than I have been recently. I used to read a few chapters every night before bed, but lately, I've been feeling uninspired by every title I pick up. I'm still working my way through my New Year's resolution, though. So that's something, I guess.
Such a beautiful cause. I've also been guilty of not taking advantage of the privilege of having direct access to all types of literature. I can say that I've done more reading this year than I did last year, but I do hope to exceed my goal soon.
