Fact: I used to live within walking distance of this spot, and then we up and moved, and then I discovered this gem.
I don't know what it is about summer sixteen, but I've been all about the breweries! The Stout Brothers is actually considered a "Beer Market," and thanks to city regulation, they can't offer standard tastings. They can only let you try six 2 oz. pours in a day, but if you already have an idea of what you like, that should be all you need. Honestly, the pint-sized "tastings" other breweries offer is often too much for me. Either I end up being very wasteful or I completely tap out after the second glass. I'm here to enjoy the flavors - not to get toasted.
Of the ones I tried, the Ace Pineapple Cider was my favorite, and since fall is creeping around corner...

Yesss, you really are on a roll with these brewery visits. There have been a bunch popping up in the D.C. area these past couple of years but I have yet to visit any of them - must do better. I'm a big fan of fruity beers in general (blue moon, wild blue, angry orchard and wannamangoe) so that Ace Pineapple Cider sounds pretty darn amazing. Also, loving the new blog design!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Setarra! I spent longer than it looks trying to get it looking as "simple" as possible.
DeleteAnd I bet DC has bomb.com breweries. They're so much fun to visit, and they're usually much cheaper than hanging out at a bar or lounge.
Looks like fun! I don't really drink beer but, a nice cocktail is nice every now and then. This place is not too far from me so, I may check it out.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely check them out! The staff was super friendly, and my friends and I ended up staying way longer than planned because of the good conversation that was just flowing.
DeleteOooh, I'll be your brewery buddy! I love checking them out.
ReplyDeleteBtw, I can never tell if my comments publish here! Hope they show up!

Got it! ;) (it might be time to update my comment platform, but ughhh coding).
DeleteAnd I'd LOVE to have you as my brewery buddy! There are a few more on my list, so let's see about making that happen!
